Turkmenistan is located in Central Asia on the eastern shore of the Caspian See sharing borders with Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Asghabat is the capital and largest city with a population of about 730’000 inhabitants. It holds the Guinness World Record for the highest concentration of white marble buildings in any city of the world and the  world’s largest enclosed ferris wheel (Alem Entertainment Center).
